Start-up of MINI-KITCHEN GARDEN

Already now the plan for the 4 beds is not so perfectly connected, as onions and leeks belong to the same family, and therefore should have the same place in the crop rotation, rather than occupying two different beds. This is often the case with cultivation plans: they never quite live up to their promise.

The bulbs came into the ground before the conversion and the plan for the entire kitchen garden was completed, and will not be in the mini kitchen garden in the coming years. The winter leeks must also live elsewhere in the kitchen garden for a single year in order to comply with the crop rotation. In other words, it will not be quite the same crops that are grown here next year.

Today I have removed all the leaves that have covered the beds all winter to protect the soil, and at the same time put on the last plastic covers to get the soil warmed up a bit. After that, there is only to wait: you can not really sow or plant anything until the Easter frost is over!
