Transplanting cabbage

Transplanting cabbage

December 25th I often get an uncontrollable urge to play spring. If there is snow and frost during the day, even more seeds (than I need) are usually ordered online, and if the weather is like today, the raised beds call for getting cluttered in. Almost no matter what, as long as you get soil under the nails. Today I have found various (too) late-planted small cabbages around the beds that did not manage to develop into something useful in the autumn. The laggards have then been gathered in one bed, which can be covered if one day something resembling winter comes. Whether they all develop into heads, or whether they come up with something else, time will tell. In any case, they are significantly further ahead than the small potted cabbage plants I have overwintering in the greenhouse - and thus the last (perhaps) should be the first.
