Corn and beets

Corn and beets

For the past three years, the earliest corn has been planted on May 24th. Not sure why, but the tradition can just as well be maintained. Just this year, they will probably have non-woven fabric for a few days. In the maize rows, until this morning, there has been spinach, which had been planted in the bed way back in March, but which had now started to stick after giving a reasonable harvest. The beets were planted in early May, and have such a large lead that they are not overshadowed by the corn.
