Overwintered spring onions

Overwintered spring onions

The greenhouse needs to be cleared today to make room for the tomatoes. Despite hard work in March / April to eat what the house contains of overwintering greenery, there are still plenty of spring onions left. And this is how it goes every year where far more of the small "grass blades" are planted in October than we can manage to eat in April. You do not throw anyone out like that, the hens do not bother to have them, so they have been transplanted. For a small shady bed where chives are otherwise grown for potting and winter driving. And here we can hopefully continue to pick up fresh peaks next month’s time.
