Covers of crops

Now there will finally be some rain here in the next few days, so the windows to the manure benches will be taken off during the day and come on again at night. It can be done reasonably quickly, and saves some trips with the watering can. On the other hand, I gradually do not bother to take the plastic off all the 8 covered potato beds - it takes a war to put on again, especially when it is windy. In advance, there is plenty to do every night to carry all the trays of tomato and pepper in from the greenhouse, cover leeks, lettuce and the like in the greenhouse with non-woven fabric, and hang tarpaulins up in front of the flowering peaches and apricots. But for the weekend it is hopefully over, and I can take comfort in the fact that the cold weather has delayed the flowering of the fruit trees here, so you do not have to worry about them and night frost too!
