GrowCamp wallbed- your own vegetable department on the terrace
Little space or just wanting to grow your own herbs, tomatoes and chili on the terrace, so you can just pick it whenecer you want, then this GrowCamp wall bed is a good solution.

Materials

  • The frame is made in Siberian larch.
  • The planks are 22 mm thick and 15 cm in height.
  • The planks which have pre-drilled holes are bolted to uprights in matt black aluminum. Includes 4 stainless steel carriage bolts with nuts for each plank.
  • Cracks and bends may occur in the wood, as it is a natural material. This may make it possible to re-drill.
  • The top section is made of PVC with galvanized pipes.
  • It is recommended to remove the plastic sides when the frost comes, as the big difference between the heat and the cold can cause the plastic to shrink.

Self-Watering

  • As an option you can buy our self-watering system called GrowWater.
  • It is available as a 15 cm tall inserted, which is placed in the bottom of the bed.
  • It comprises 72 liters of water and can supply your plants with water for at least 1-2 weeks in the periods when it is at its hottest.

Soil

  • The bed contains a total of ca. 310 liters when it is completely filled.
  • When using self-watering, the bed can accommodate about 105 liters of soil.

GrowCamp superstructure

The structure for a GrowCamp consists of aluminum tubes and square profiles in hard plastic. This makes the superstructure resistant in the usual weather conditions in Denmark. In the event of a strong storm, it is recommended to remove the insect net and the plastic cover to protect your GrowCamp. As standard, a GrowCamp comes with both an insect net and a plastic cover.

The purpose of a GrowCamp superstructure is to provide the best growing conditions, prevent heavy rain and wind from destroying or weakening your plants, extend the garden season and protect your vegetables from animals, insects and other things that are interested in your plants.

Advantages of growing in a GrowCamp

  • The soil is not trampled hard, so the roots develop better.
  • When the soil is raised above the surrounding level, the soil never gets so wet that the plants drown. The roots can always get oxygen.
  • In the spring, you can start earlier because the soil becomes dry and warm faster.
  • You can plant closer because of the optimal conditions and thus get a greater yield.

If you cover the raised bed, it's EVEN easier:

  • Insect netting protects against slugs and other pests.
  • The insect net dampens heavy rain, hail and wind.
  • Plastic roofing creates a greenhouse environment that provides support for your plants.

Content
